To compare two people or things, we use the comparative form of the adjective. For example, «John is taller than Tom» or «This book is more interesting than that one.»
To compare two or more people or things, we use the superlative form of the adjective. For example, «John is the tallest person in the room» or «This is the most interesting book I’ve ever read.»
In the text, there are examples of both comparative and superlative forms. For example, «Our new car is faster than our old one» uses the comparative form to compare two things. «This is the best pizza in town» uses the superlative form to compare multiple pizzas.
