For example, Gulliver’s pocket watch would have been the size of a small house to the Lilliputians. They would have been amazed and frightened by the ticking sound it made and the fact that it could tell time.
Similarly, the Lilliputians would have been shocked by the other objects in Gulliver’s pockets, such as his handkerchief, which would have been the size of a large sail to them. They would have been amazed by the texture and feel of the fabric and the fact that it could be used to wipe one’s nose.
