If I were lost in a desert, the first thing I would do is try to stay calm and assess my situation. I would look for any signs of civilization or landmarks that could help me navigate my way out. If I had a map and compass, I would use them to try to determine my location and the direction I should head in. I would also try to conserve my water and ration it as much as possible, while also looking for any sources of water such as cacti or dry riverbeds. If I had a signal device such as a flare or mirror, I would use it to try to attract attention and signal for help. Ultimately, my main priority would be to stay alive and make it out of the desert safely.
